The Untraceable Trailer Arrives Online

The idea of cyberterrorism or cyberbullying isn’t new. In fact, it’s almost to the brink of becoming its own subgenre. The next entry to arrive is Untraceable which features Diane Lane as a federal agent who tracks down online criminals. Her operation suddenly finds themselves against an amazing serial killer who uses the Internet and its appeal as his own kind of murder weapon. As her search gets too close to this “untraceable” killer, he looks to her as his next victim.

That description sounds a little hokey, I guess, but the trailer for Untraceable, which arrived online today, looks pretty interesting. I’ve always been a fan of these kinds of movies – searching down the serial killer who has tapped into cameras and such to become quite the voyeur. With the potential of the Internet, this storyline was inevitable, but it looks like it’s being handled quite well, at least from the trailer. It’s interesting enough that I’d like to see it, even if it does feel a bit Live Free or Die Hard minus John McClane.

The trailer is online at Apple.com, which means Quicktime and High Definition options. Click here to check out the Untraceable trailer.
