Video: Coen Brothers Direct A PSA Debunking Clean Coal

For most of their careers the Coen Brothers have been some of the most apolitical filmmakers out there. Even with their last film, Burn After Reading, set in Washington, D.C., the most political they got was a final message of "There's a whole lot of incompetence to go around."

But the Coens' latest project isn't a movie, but a PSA for the group This Is Reality, which aims to debunk the myth that there is such a thing as "clean coal." You can check out both the very funny PSA below and a behind-the-scenes video, which shows a lot of scenes that didn't make it into the final cut. I doubt this will mean the Coens will start emulating their pal George Clooney, and get involved in all kinds of political causes, but its nice to see them using their subversive talent with humor for a good cause.
