It's no secret that Mariah Carey loves to indulge in the finer things in life --- but not necessarily when it comes to food. The diva extraordinaire admitted that her diet only allows her to eat two foods!
It's really hard. My diet, you would hate it. All you eat is Norwegian salmon and capers every day. That's it... I'm actually serious. I try to stick with the proteins. It's the worst.
Does that mean that every single time Mariah Carey sits down for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just a snack, she's trying to figure out some way to make some brilliant new dish to make with only some salmon fillets and capers? Sadly, it doesn't seem like there's much room for variety with only those two ingredients, as you basically just have to eat them as is: a salmon smoothie sounds like something Jeff Probst would make you drink on Survivor. But by what she adds about trying to stick to proteins, it sounds like there's at least a little wiggle room on what her diet allows.
Despite her demanding diet, it looks like Mariah Carey is giving herself some rare cheat days for special occasions. For instance, Thanksgiving wouldn't be very festive without some turkey, potatoes, and pie! The singer shared some photos to her Instagram of her in the kitchen with friends cooking up a big Thanksgiving dinner last week, and she must have been relieved that not a caper or salmon fillet was in sight amidst their spread! What's the point of a diet if you can't take holidays off, right?
Mariah Carey is focusing on body because the chanteuse is about to become much less elusive in a couple days when her E! reality series Mariah's World premieres. Much like the network's other hit celeb-reality shows such as Keeping Up With the Kardashians and its various spinoffs, Mariah's World will follow Carey's day-to-day life. Many fans are wondering how in-depth the show will take its viewers, speculating over whether the show will shed some light on Carey's recent split from her ex-fiancé James Packer. Reportedly, Packer is featured in much of the show, which was filmed prior to their split about two months back. While that is still up in the air, maybe we can at least get some new salmon and caper recipes from tuning in?
