Warning: possible spoilers ahead for The Walking Dead, don't read any further if you are not up to date on the AMC zombie series.
Rick Grimes has officially had enough. He's done scavenging for Negan, and he's done living under the oppressive regime of The Saviors. A rebellion is brewing in the heart of the American south, and The Walking Dead's heroes are about to go to war in a major way. Alexandria has an inherent disadvantage in the coming battle, but it seems that Jesus will soon provide them with a vital tool for victory: a radio.
A sneak peak at the next episode of The Walking Dead was revealed during the most recent episode of Talking Dead, and it explains how the group has started to move forward with a rebellion against Negan and The Saviors. As Rick and his group talk about ways to possibly get the upper hand on Negan's organization, every survivor provides his or her own insight regarding how to achieve victory. Rick eventually laments the fact that they don't have the numbers to take on Negan in a fair fight. At that point Jesus pulls out a radio stolen from The Sanctuary and suggests that a cohesive partnership between Alexandria, The Hilltop, and The Kingdom could potentially win the war. Now that they can listen in on the chatter of The Saviors, they have the ability to monitor and track their movements.
This generally seems to indicate that we are going to see Rick and his group fight more like resistance fighters than soldiers during the latter half of The Walking Dead's seventh season. Up until now, Negan has relied primarily on anonymity and the secrecy of his home base to maintain his safety; now he has neither of those luxuries. Daryl, Jesus, Carl, and Michonne all know how to locate The Sanctuary, and you can bet your bottom dollar that the three enclaves under Negan's thumb will likely start performing regular reconnaissance missions in the very near future.
Beyond the acquisition of the radio, the survivors also have one other very important advantage: Daryl Dixon. Considering the fact that Daryl escaped The Sanctuary, it seems unlikely that he will be able to return to any of the enclaves on a regular basis until Negan has been dealt with. Daryl has the unique ability to live off of the land better than anyone else in Rick's group, which means he can now commit himself to a full-time guerilla war and become a pure wild card against The Saviors.
