New Roseanne Revival Photos Reveal First Look At Both Becky Actresses Together

The upcoming Roseanne revival of ABC managed to land a whole bunch of actors from the original run of the series, although there was a slight complication in the fact that Becky Conner was played by two actresses. Original actress Lecy Goranson played Becky for the first five years of Roseanne, and Sarah Chalke stepped in to take over the role in Season 6. The two would alternate as Becky throughout the final years of the show. The Roseanne revival found a way to bring them both back, with Goranson playing the one and only Becky and Chalke playing a woman who needs Becky to be her surrogate. Check out a first look at Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke together on Roseanne!

Double the Becky, double the fun, right? The two women will meet in the very first episode of the revival when the married and middle-class Andrea (Sarah Chalke) approaches Becky (Lecy Goranson) about surrogacy. Details about how exactly the conversation is going to go down are currently scarce, but the description for the premiere reveals that Becky will accept Andrea's proposal to make extra money. In this first image, Becky looks somewhat shocked, whereas Andrea looks hopeful. Something tells me we're in for a lot of laughs thanks to these two together.

It's obviously too soon to say if Becky will go through with becoming Andrea's surrogate, but her plan to do so will last at least into the second episode, which will see Becky inviting Andrea over to meet her family. Unsurprisingly, Becky will be nervous about Andrea meeting her family and the reactions she'll get from her loved ones, and another first look indicates that Roseanne at least won't be falling over herself in attempting to welcome Andrea. Take a look:

Roseanne doesn't look precisely unfriendly in this photo, but she also doesn't look like she thinks Becky is making her wisest decision. Andrea looks very poised and put-together, so it's difficult to imagine that Roseanne objects to Andrea as a business partner of sorts for Becky. What's not so difficult to imagine is that Roseanne will be reluctant to sign off on Becky making a decision that could impact her health and the rest of her life for the sake of money. Becky's mom won't be the only one to weigh in on the situation either, as we see another character sitting down for a chat with Andrea:

Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) will evidently have something to say to Andrea, and Andrea doesn't look like this was a conversation she was prepared for. Whether this is because meeting the extended Conner family will come as a bit of a shock overall or because Aunt Jackie drops an oddball bombshell on her remains to be see. The odds are good that it will be pretty funny. Only time will tell.

The Roseanne revival will premiere on Tuesday, March 27 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. For your other viewing options now and in the not-too-distant future, swing by our midseason TV premiere guide and our 2018 Netflix premiere schedule.
