ABC Recaps Lost And Grey's

Continuing the one-hour recap tradition the network started last year, ABC will air recap episodes of two of their biggest returning dramas. ‘Lost’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ will get the recap treatment once again.

Fans of either show will be familiar with the formula. Clips are shown from the show with a disembodied voice leading viewers along the different storylines. As an additional bonus, last season’s finales will be shown as well so we are perfectly clear on what the gang was up to.

If you missed it, or don’t have the DVD set yet, then ‘Lost’ fans can catch the two-hour season finale on Monday, September 25 followed by the clip show on Wednesday, September 27. The third season begins one week later on Wednesday, October 4.

For those who want to throw things at the screen as Meredith has adulterous sex with Dr. McDreamy, you can catch the season finale of season 2 on Thursday, September 21 at 8:00pm EST. The season 3 premiere starts immediately after.

This is a technique that ABC has sort of become known for, and honestly I don’t see why other networks have nothing like this going for their serial type shows. I’d like to see recap episodes for things like ‘Heroes’ and ‘Smallville’ this season. There’s no word yet on whether ‘Desperate Housewives,’ another ABC show that’s gotten the recap treatment in the past, will kick of season 3 with a look at the past.
