Archer Preview: Season 3, Episode 5 - Lo Scandalo

The third season of FX's animated comedy Archer was off to an incredible start. Last week, the show experienced a minor "Drift Problem" and delivered an episode well below the insanely high quality that we've come to expect from the series. Sure, it had a few laughs, but the story and the jokes lacked consistency and originality, making the episode feel a little slapped together. Not every episode of the show can be brilliant (too bad), but here's hoping that "Lo Scandalo" puts the excellent season back on track. Here's the preview.

As you can see, Malory has gotten herself into some hot water and needs the ISIS team to come over and help her clean up the mess. And by mess we mean corpse, "every single time we come over here, we have to help you get rid of a dead body." It's not Malory's fault that she travels in the dangerous circles of international espionage... although something tells me that her account of the Italian Prime Minister's murder might not hold up under further investigation. Just a guess, since Malory isn't exactly known for her honesty. Although she is known for her dishonesty.

It looks like another fun episode that, like "The Limited" two weeks prior, brings all of the ISIS team under one roof to work together and solve Malory's conundrum. In the process, it looks like the team gets fully into one of those "murder mystery" role-playing games, complete with an outside detective unaware of what exactly has been going on at the Archer Estate. Doesn't matter, the cops in those things always die first, so it will presumably be up to ISIS to solve this murder themselves..."Well, apart from this sullen wench murdering good etiquette."

Archer airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on FX. It stars H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walters, Judy Greer, Chris Parnell, and Amber Nash. It was created by Adam Reed.
