Eva Longoria Is Leaving Television

"Desperate Housewives" kicks off a new season of suburban intrigue in just a few weeks, and if you're a fan make sure you enjoy it. Star Eva Longoria is determined to make the show her one and only stop on television.

Evidently Eva thinks she has a future in movies, and wants to pursue it. "I really want to do more films instead of TV. I want to play strong women. I would love to do a romantic comedy next - I love actors like Vince Vaughan, Jim Carrey, Matthew McConaughey and Hugh Grant," she says. At least she's aiming low. "I would never do another TV show after Desperate Housewives."

Don't worry though. She's no fool. She's riding the "Housewives" money train as long as it lasts. "I would never leave "Desperate Housewives," she tells The Associated Press.

Her good feelings about feature film may however be unwarranted. "Desperate Housewives" fame or not, when it comes to movies her biggest credit is still as one of the stars of Boat Trip.
