Homeland Executive Producers Howard Gordon And Alex Gansa Talk About The Season Finale

It’s putting it mildly to say that some very interesting developments and conclusions transpired during last night’s season finale of Showtime’s explosive new drama series Homeland. Hear what executive producers Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon had to say about the episode and some of the bigger moments in this video...

Homeland has succeeded in a lot of ways in its first season, the most important of which is that we were giving an intriguing and satisfying final episode to the season, that also leaves plenty of room for more story and continued character development in Season 2. Gansa and Gordon have some interesting things to say in the video below. Among the topics of discussion are Brody’s choice to hit the switch (and the writers’ decision to make that happen), Brody’s crucial conversation with his daughter Dana, and Carrie’s last-minute revelation just before the anesthesia knocked her out, which seems like it was too little, much too late.

It’s going to be exciting to see how the series picks up. What will Brody’s new end-game be? What will a post-shock-therapy Carrie be like and how will she remain involved with the CIA or anti-terrorism? And will she break her word by contacting Brody again in the future. It seems inevitable that their paths will cross again....
