Logo Opts For More Original Programming In 2011

MTV’s gay-themed network, Logo, is still on the up-and-up. The network, which initially stayed afloat by showing gay-interest stand-up, films, and other licensed programming of that ilk, has begun to be more of its own creative force in recent years. Logo’s success with original programming has often been attributed to the launching of RuPaul’s Drag Race, which proved back in 2008 the network has some serious chops and has been an on-air mainstay since then.

Logo recently announced RuPaul’s Drag Race, along with original programming The A-List: New York and NewNowNext Awards have been greenlighted for another season. This isn’t the only good news for fans of the network. Next year, Logo is set to expand with two new shows added to its lineup: Sex Rx and The A-List: Dallas.

According to Deadline, the two shows will air in fall 2011. The A-List: Dallas, like the A-List: New York will follow a group of socialite men and women trying to make their mark…only this time in Texas society. In Sex Rx, a sex treatment group will be subjected to exercises that help members work out your basic strained-relationship issues, like trust and infidelity. Sex specialist Christopher Donaghue will host. Sounds more dramatic but less painful than Hoarders.
