The O.C.'s Adam Brody Will Guest Star On House Of Lies In Season 2

Showtime’s House of Lies has been gearing up for Season 2 for a while, now. Today, the subscription cable network announced that The O.C.’s Adam Brody will be joining the House of Lies cast for a multi-episode arc. He’ll play the owner of an unusual toy company that caters to adults.

Brody will join House of Lies for two episodes during Season 2 and, according to the network, the role will also find him romancing Jeannie, played by Kristen Bell. Fans shouldn’t have too long to wait before we see how this relationship pans out (although I’m guessing not well, due to the tenure of the guest stint). Brody joins a list of guest stars in Season 2 that includes Lisa Edelstein and Nia Long.

Brody’s probably best known for his role in The O.C., but he has spent the last few years taking on film roles, with the exception of the TV series Good Vibes. While it’s great that he’s shown up in movies as varied as Cop Out, Scream 4, and the dramedy Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (the latter of which he is legitimately funny in), I really hope the short stint on House of Lies might lure him back to the TV realm for a more permanent role in the future. I’m sure there’s a TV show out there, somewhere, that could benefit from the actor’s presence.

Showtime’s House of Lies will return to the schedule on Sunday, January 13 at 10 p.m. ET.
