The Simpsons' Mr. Burns Endorses Romney And Presents Seamus The Dog With A Choice

Joss Whedon isn't the only one "endorsing" Romney. It looks like The Simpsons' Mr. Burns is also on board with the republican Presidential candidate, and to emphasize this point, he's brought in the Romney family dog Seamus, a pet made famous for having ridden atop the family vehicle during a road trip back in 1983.

We've seen a few funny political ads making the rounds, including Joss Whedon's video which offers an amusing warning of the inevitable zombie apocalypse that will arrive if Romney becomes president. This latest one comes from Fox and features Monty Burns as he presents Seamus Romney with his options.

Broccoli Obama vs. Meat Romney!

Did anyone notice the Binders of Women on Burns' table (which incidentally disappears later in the video).

For reference, a Boston Globe article back in 2007 included a story about a Romney family summer road trip during which Seamus, their irish setter, was stowed in a dog carrier attached to the top of the station wagon's roof rack. So, if you noticed the animated Seamus shivering in the above video, that may be why.

The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET on Fox.
