Starz Inside Showcases Zombies This Month

Let’s hear it for the double-tap! This weekend I caught the hilarious horror-comedy Zombieland, which got me even more excited to check out Starz’s upcoming installment of Starz Inside: “Zombiemania.”

Hosted by film critic Richard Roeper, Starz Inside regularly features actors, directors and other notable filmmakers and includes film clips which emphasize whatever topic is being discussed in each episode. On Tuesday, October 13th at 10:00 p.m. ET, Starz will air Starz Inside: Zombiemania, which will take a look at some classic zombie flicks from the 1932 film White Zombie all the way through to 28 Weeks Later. And of course you can expect to see plenty of references to George A Romero’s fantastic “...Of the Dead” movies, including what is arguably the best zombie movie in existence, Night of the Living Dead.

Among the people featured in Zombiemania are George A. Romero, special effects masters Toma Savini and Greg Nicotero, Max Boorks (he wrote the excellent “Zombie Survival Guide”), actor Boyd Banks, and others.

The special features clips from the following films:

White Zombie (1932)

Revolt of the Zombies (1936)

King of the Zombies(1941)

Last Man on Earth (1964)

Night of the Living Dead (1968)

Return of the Living Dead (1985)

Day of the Dead (1985)

The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988)

Shaun of the Dead (2004)

Dawn of the Dead (2004)

Land of the Dead (2005)

Fido (2006)

28 Weeks Later (2007)
