Summer TV Preview: Eureka Returns To Sci Fi

Another summer series is about to return this month. Ready to see what else is going to happen in the crazy town of Eureka? The Sci Fi original series about a strange little town inhabited by super geniuses is about to premiere its second season.

‘Eureka’ centers on a fictional town in the northeast, which is inhabited by some of the world’s smartest living human beings. Albert Einstein and President Truman built the town so that geniuses could live and work out from under the eye of the general public. In the first season, U.S. Marshal Jack Carter came upon the town after he got into a car accident. He soon discovers that despite the seemingly normal appearance Eureka, underneath it all there are some very strange things happening. He also learns that Eureka is where many of the world’s greatest inventions have been created.

There are two sides to this series, which makes it a bit more accessible to viewers who aren’t usually enticed by typical sci-fi shows. While some very crazy things happen as the people of Eureka work to perfect their inventions, there is also a fair amount of character development and dramatic story arcs that would appeal to non-sci-fi geeks.

Season 2 of ‘Eureka’ will premiere on July 10 at 9:00 p.m. on the Sci Fi Channel.
