We're still a ways off from the third season premiere of The Walking Dead, which is expected to find its way onto the fall schedule. If previous seasons are any indication, we might be able to expect it at some point in October. In the meantime, a behind-the-scenes look at the series' third season has made its way online and gives us a peek at what some of the cast members are up to.

The video ahead is sparse on spoilers, which some may consider a good thing. What the video does offer is a look at the characters, all of whom seem to be sporting a similarly dirty, bloody, unshowered look, which may be an indication that finding a place to settle down doesn't happen right away. Featured in the video are Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Irone Singleton, and executive producers Gale Anne Hurd, Glenn Mazzara and Greg Nicotero.

So, what we get here is mostly a lot of looks at very dirty looking characters. But dirty on this show is an indication that stuff is happening! Clean-looking characters would be for a season that takes place mostly on a farm, right? Those days are past! There's also talk of the prison, samurai-wielding characters turning up, the governor, people losing their minds and love blossoming! Was Norman Reedus referring to Caryl when he said that? (If the Carol/Daryl ship isn't already called Caryl, I'm coining it now).
