Before the year is out, Borderlands will receive its first downloadable content. The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned will be released for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 for $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points).

In this "full-fledged expansion," players assist Dr. Ned in stopping a zombie infestation that he started with one of his experiments. The expansion adds new enemies and quests. There'll be new shiny new loot for you to find, too.

Borderlands hits consoles on October 20th in North America and on October 23rd elsewhere in the world. October 26th and 30th is when North American and global PC gamers will get their hands on it.
