Destiny Player Beats Crota's End Alone With One Hand

We've seen Destiny players beat Crota's End by themselves or without using guns. However, this player just topped them all by finishing the raid alone with only one hand.

YouTuber THEKAPGUN (via Reddit) has been working his way through Crota's End on his own over the past few weeks. Last night, he finally took down Crota. You can watch the full raid across these four videos:

THEKAPGUN has limited use of his right hand. He stabilizes the controller against his leg and right hand and solely uses his left hand for pressing buttons and manipulating the analog sticks. He shows his exact method for playing in this video from 2010:

Shooting on the run or in the air seems a lot more difficult with this playstyle. THEKAPGUN overcomes this challenge by sniping from elevated positions as much as he can. That kind of steady, cautious approach is well-suited to a solo run, though. After all, there's no one around to pick you up off the ground if you're being reckless.

Crota's End was released in December as part of The Dark Below, the first expansion pack for Destiny. The game's second expansion, House of Wolves, won't be out until April at the earliest. That's a long time to wait for new activities. The upside is that we've been able to see players defeat the existing raids in very creative ways. I'm always impressed by how players find ways to make old content feel new again, whether it's playing Crota's End without guns or inventing stunt challenges in GTA Online.
