Epic Games is on the verge of releasing a trailer that will reveal Gears of War 3's single-player campaign. To whet your appetite, they've released a teaser video and screenshot.
The full trailer will air on May 28th. It will debut during the Champions League Final Match at 9:45 pm GMT worldwide. Most people in the United States probably don't even know what the Champions League is - it's soccer - so the trailer will air here during Game 6 of the NBA Playoffs. If you don't care about either sporting event, you'll probably be able to find the trailer online immediately after it airs on television.
Gears 3 will end the story arc begun by the original Gears in 2006. The last remnants of humanity have relocated to the a converted aircraft carrier called the Raven's Nest. They now face two foes: the Locust as well as their mutated brethren known as the Lambent. While they'll probably leave some wiggle-room for new games in the franchise (a la God of War 3), this game might be the last we'll see of Marcus and company.
GoW3 will be released on September 20th.
