JCE Entertainment announced that GhostX will be available as a free-to-play MMORPG. It’s currently in its closed beta but the game itself offers up a rather unique concept of play based on nanomachines and virtual worlds…and yes, it sounds like something out of Metal Gear Solid.
According to the press release… The GM of GhostX, Roxy commended, “GhostX presents an extraordinary experience to the gamers who crave for a new type of game.” She is confident that gamers will be completely satisfied with the story, graphics and game effects of GhostX.The game’s unique mechanics come in the form of nanobot technology. Instead of picking a character class or skill tree for a created player, the game offers up hundreds of nanobots to choose from that will work inside or alongside the player character. Player’s have the option of fusing them to create new effects or gathering other nanomachines to work as armor, weapons, pets, etc. Metal Gear fans might recognize the similarity of the game’s concept, given that Guns of the Patriots was all about manipulating the control of nanotechnology for the sake of proxy wars. GhostX is a mission and quest-based game so players interested in a story-driven MMO might be interested in this game. You can learn more by visiting the Official Website. The game will be free-to-play for a global audience once the closed-beta testing is finished. For more gaming news, updates, info and insight, be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games. |
