This week's PlayStation Network update features something old and something new with games and demos coming from the PS3 and Vita, as well as the PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast. With this week's update kicking off the Halloween holiday season, however, Resident Evil 6 has little trouble stealing the spotlight.
With more and more titles being released digitally day and date with their physical counterparts, two more games join those ranks as action horror game Resident Evil 6 continues the storied series' zombie blasting legacy and NBA 2K13 offers, well, another year's worth of basketball. Both games will be available in brick and mortar stores tomorrow or through PSN once the online store updates sometime in the afternoon.
Joining the digital library this week will also be Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 for the PS3, as well as the kingdom building game, New Little King's Story, for the PlayStation Vita. A couple of upgraded Dreamcast hits will also be made available in this week's update, including the high flying NiGHTS Into Dreams and Sega's hedgehog-starring adventure game, Sonic Adventure 2.
If you're looking to expand your PlayStation 2 digital collection, then you might want to look into one of the newer iterations of the farm-sim that started it all, Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon. Or, if goofy mascot shooters are more your speed, you could always take Ruff Trigger: The Vanocore Conspiracy for a spin.
This week's PSN update also hosts a handful of demos, including one for the above mentioned Sonic Adventure 2, as well as two PS Vita titles, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward and the upcoming spooky dungeon crawler, Silent Hill: Book of Memories.
Look for these games, along with the usual helping of videos, DLC, etc., once the PlayStation Network updates tomorrow afternoon. For more information on each title, drop by the PlayStation Blog.
