Ah, Sony. Is there anything you can't prematurely announce? A billboard for an upcoming movie reveals that a third Resistance game is on the way.

A NeoGAF member from Shreveport, Louisiana spotted a Resistance 3 billboard in town. It's apparently going to be used in a movie called Battle: Los Angeles. Battle, like Resistance, centers around an alien takeover of Earth.

Sony hasn't formally announced anything and might not have even made the logo for the billboard. It seems like a foregone conclusion that Insomniac would develop another installment in Resistance, though. Battle: Los Angeles is due in early 2011 and I'd frankly be surprised if the R3 wasn't out before then.
