The cast of the Paul Rudd comedy My Idiot Brother got truly awesome earlier this week when Zooey Deschanel, Rashida Jones, Elizabeth Banks and Emily Mortimer all signed on. Now, believe it or not, it gets even better. Variety reports that Adam Scott, he of Party Down and Parks and Recreation and ten other great things you like, is joining as well, to play a neighbor of Banks's character.

Filming starts this summer in New York, and I'm still crossing my fingers that they'll wind up in my neighborhood somehow. I have no idea how big Scott's role will be, but really he's the kind of actor who can make an impact with just a handful of lines. It's like My Idiot Brother has collected all the people you love seeing in bit parts and made an entire movie about them. Consider my hopes incredibly, perhaps ridiculously high.
