Astin Gets Clicked Post-Lord of the Rings Sean Astin has proven to be a bit of a disappointment. His career has been completely revitalized and the guy is working like crazy (see him on TV now in Steven Spielberg’s “Into the West”), but he’s also revealed himself to be a bit of a dick. Whoops, sorry we’re supposed to have all forgotten about those awards shows incidents. Well at least he waited until after Rings to go wacky.
Astin’s next project is a re-team with Adam Sandler, whom he co-starred with in 50 First Dates as Drew Barrymore’s roid-raging brother. The movie is Columbia Picture’s Click, another man controls the world with a remote control comedy. Think Bruce Almighty without the respectability of Morgan Freeman. Also on board is the ever self-parodying Christopher Walken and Superman’s girlfriend Kate Bosworth. Luckily, this isn’t the sort of role that’ll get Astin back up on an awards stage. Let’s keep him quiet, I like him best when he’s not talking. |
