Bond Starts Killing Soon

It looks like the 21st Bond film is going ahead anyway, though it seems like everyone wishes the franchise would pull a Star Trek and take a nose dive into the realm of the completely dead. But, lacking a finale as shitty as the one Trek pulled last week, there’s more Bond to be had.

Michael G. Wilson is co-producer on the next James Bond film Casino Royale, a book title which oddly enough was used as Sci-Fi parody on an episode of “Star Trek: The Next Generation”. Funny how I tied that together isn’t it? In a Q&A session with The Daily Bulletin he revealed everything he knows about the franchise right off the bat. No, even he doesn’t know who is playing Bond.

What he does know is that Bond will drive an Aston Martin (because BMW won’t pay them enough) and that Judi Dench will be back. Dench is one of those grand old actresses who seems to have no trouble at all getting work in spite of recent accusations that the movie industry discriminates against grannies. Wilson further confirms that the Martin Campbell (who also directed Goldeneye) helmed movie starts filming January 2006 in Prague and South Africa with a targeted release date for the film of October 17. Much to the release of fans he also confirmed no Jinx. Sorry Halle Berry. We hate you.
