Channing Tatum Is Front And Center In New White House Down Poster

White House Down Poster

We knew it wasn't going to take too long before Channing Tatum's face showed up all over the marketing for the upcoming thriller White House Down. Just yesterday we saw the first teaser posters for the new Roland Emmerich-directed film, which played up the idea that the events of the film will start on a day "like any other day," showing off the picturesque images of downtown Washington D.C., but today is all about Tatum in a tank top.

The new poster was posted over at the film's official Facebook page and it's timing couldn't be less surprising. Not only did Olympus Has Fallen - a movie with the same basic plotline as Emmerich's latest - debut in theaters last weekend, but the first trailer for White House Down is set to debut this afternoon ay 7:00pm EST/4:00pm PST.

Described as "Die Hard in the White House," the new movie stars Tatum as John Cale, a police officer who decides one day to go on a tour of the president's home with his young daughter (Joey King). However, things go horribly wrong - as they do in action/thrillers - when the premisis is taken over by a highly-trained, heavily harmed paramilitary group. John then finds himself not only protecting the life of his daughter, but the President of the United States (Jamie Foxx) as well. Jason Clarke, Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Woods, Rachelle Lefevre, Richard Jenkins and Jimmi Simpson co-star in the movie, which will be in theaters on June 28th.
