The Cornetto Trilogy Golden Mile, Day 10: Rock Out To The Cornetto Trilogy Remix
Searching around online you can find an impressive number of fan tribute videos to Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost, but now professional electronic music producer/director Mike Relm has entered the game and created a Cornetto Trilogy Remix that is guaranteed to melt your face off.
What makes this video such an impressive piece of work is the fact that itís entirely assembled using nothing but snippets and soundbites from all three movies in the comedy trilogy. One can only imagine the number of man-hours and ridiculous effort that went into searching for the perfect moments in all three movies to create the perfect mixtape (not to mention the fact that it seems as though Relm was only working from The Worldís End footage that has been featured in the various trailers and clips that have been released in the weeks and months leading to the filmís release). But what this artist has created is not just a kick-ass tribute to a trio of awesome movies Ė heís also made a pretty cool beat thatís perfect for taking down hordes of zombies, neighborhood watch alliance members, and robots.
With the release of this video, itís also an opportune time to express appreciation for the terrific music that have backed The Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy since its inception in 2004. Not only do all of the films have cool scores, Wright has demonstrated an impressive talent for putting soundtracks together, regularly finding the perfect song for the perfect moment. But as great as it is to hear artists like The Smiths, The Fratellis, and The Doors in the series, there is one particular movie music moment from the trilogy that stands above all in my mind:
