Wes Anderson’s new movie The Darjeeling Limited has just gotten its first poster, along with an earlier release date. The movie will now hit a very limited New York release on September 29. Yes, that’s a Saturday, no I don’t know why they’d do that except that the movie is premiering at a Film Festival the day before. Weird.

But then everything about Wes Anderson’s movies are wonderfully weird, so why not the movie’s release date. Take the film’s first poster. It just screams Wes Anderson… and he’s even more Technicolor than usual. The movie stars Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman, Adrien Brody, Natalie Portman, and Anjelica Hsuton in a comedy about three brothers re-forging family bonds on a train ride across the vibrant and sensual landscape of India.
