G.I. Joe Gets Subtitled![]()
It looks like G.I. Joe is joining the subtitle game. Film blog Film N1 saw a poster featuring Channing Tatum as Duke at Amsterdam’s Cinema Expo, where the title of the movie is listed as G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra.
The previous script review we saw gave the impression that the G.I. Joe team was already established in the movie, with new characters being brought in to the team, kind of like X-Men. That title sounds like an origin story though. Is it possible that continuity is being changed and the G.I. Joe team precedes Cobra? Will we actually be watching the origin of the bad guys? We know that Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who plays Cobra Commander, has been announced as playing “several roles,” so the title seems fitting. It’ll be interesting to see how this all comes together. This is another picture I expect will have some sort of presence at Comic-Con next month, with more details being released then. Check out a small version of that Duke poster to the right, or click over to Film N1 for a bigger look. |
