High-Res Transformer Robots![]()
Michael Bay has posted a group of extremely high-resolution photos of the robots from Transformers. If you’ve been aching for a clear look at what he’s done to your favorite toys, it doesn’t get much closer than this. The resolution is so extreme you can zoom right in and look into Optimus’s eyes.
Some of these robots we’ve already had a pretty good look at, but there are a couple in there I’ve been wondering about. For instance we haven’t gotten a really clear look at Starscream yet. Well that’s him in the pic to your right, and if you click here you can get an even better look at him. If pictures just don’t do it for you, Kraft’s corporate website has launched an entire Transformers section with interviews and production diaries. It’s good stuff. I don’t know what it has to do with cheese, but they have it right here. For all the things that seem to be going wrong with Transformers, it’s nice to be reminded that Bay may be getting some things right too. I like most of these robot designs, always have. Optimus shouldn’t have flames and Megatron still looks like the Shrike, but they’re on the right track with the others. Besides, it’s Michael Bay and even if he totally ruins the characters as so many seem to expect, at least there will be some nice stuff blowing up. I guess seeing Optimus with big, flappy lips broke my spirit. When I show up to see Transformers I’m going to pretend I’m not watching Transformers and try to convince myself I’m watching some other, really cool giant freakin robot movie. |
