Inglourious Basterds is the must see movie this coming weekend, as long as you’re going into it with your eyes open. It’s not Rambo with Nazis. I know, the trailers seem to say otherwise, but the actual gunplay is fairly minimal. Instead it’s a series of intensely dramatic scenes in which people talk, brilliantly, and occasionally punctuate their remarks with a brief burst of death.
You’ll get a feel for the real Inglourious Basterds in the new clips from the film below. In particular you’ll see the best reason to watch Quentin Tarantino’s new movie, a character called Hans Landa, played by Christoph Waltz giving what is so far the best performance of the year. And yes, that is Mike Myers playing a heavily prostheticed British general. Watch:
