Jason Sudeikis Joins Next Farrelly Brothers Comedy image
Jason Sudeikis has pretty much been guaranteed to become the next big comedy thing, since his work on Saturday Night Live has taken off and Floyd was by far the most interesting of Liz's boyfriends on 30 Rock (sorry, Jon Hamm). Now his moment may well have arrived. THR is reporting that New Line has picked up the project Hall Pass as a a vehicle for Sudeikis and Owen Wilson, in which they'll play buddies given permission from their wives to sleep with other women.

The movie originated at Fox way back in 2005, but it seems that a little extramartial affair comedy never gets stale. Remarkably Peter and Bobby Farrelly have stuck with it all this time and are still on board to direct, having rewritten Pete Jones's original spec script alongside Kevin Barnett. The movie is happening fast too, now that it's gotten going again-- production starts on February 23 in Atlanta.

This is the second time today that the Farrellys have been in the news, now that Sean Penn is back on board their Three Stooges movie. Hall Pass is clearly the top priority, but with two major projects in line, the Farrellys seem to be back and bigger than ever. Given that they haven't had a hit since 2001, that's saying quite a lot.
