Now that Jennifer Lawrence is an Oscar winner, she's not just starring in movies - she's producing. And in the case of the upcoming film project The Rules of Inheritance she's actually doing both.

According to Variety, the young actress is now making moves to produce her first film, with Suzanne Bier attached to direct and Abi Morgan handling the script. Based on the memoir of the same name by Claire Bidwell Smith, Lawrence will star as a young woman who is devistated to learn that both of her parents have been diagnosed with cancer. In a rebellion against life she's begins to travel and live a hard life filled with alcohol and boys. But by the time she reaches 25 she discovers that she is all alone.

Bier just worked with lawrence on the adaptation of Ron Rash's Serena, which is expected to be released sometime during this year's Oscar season. Morgan's credits include The Iron Lady, the Margaret Thatcher biopic starring Meryl Streep; and the sexual addiction drama Shame, starring Michael Fassbender.

In addition to Serena, Lawrence just recently wrapped production on David O. Russell's American Hustle and is now in the midst of filming on Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past, in which she will return as the shapeshifting mutant known as Mystique. Later this year she also has the highly-anticipated The Hunger Games: Catching Fire arriving in theaters, with the actress back as the heroic Katniss Everdeen, leading the revolution in the harsh dystopian world of Panem.
