Last we heard about The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence was talking about how the movie, which is being directed by Gary Ross, is "not Twilight." A big part of that is the fact that Katniss Everdeen, the protagonist in the story, is a strong-willed hunter who will kill you if she needs to. Need proof? Though I haven't read the books, I will admit to being at least curious about this movie. From what I understand the plot is similar to the Japanese cult classic Battle Royale, but will also somehow try to get away with having a PG-13 rating. There's also the fact that Lawrence is one of the best young talents going right now and she is backed by a stellar cast that includes Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrellson, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones, Josh Hutherson and Liam Hemsworth. There's also the oddity that is Steven Soderbergh doing second unit work on the movie, but that's a whole other thing.
