My cousin Liv has been out of the limelight since Lord of the Rings. Busy marrying a grungy rockstar (Where was my wedding invite?) and subsequently spawning his baby, the elven uber-babe hasn’t had time for movies. It’s time for Steve’s daughter to get back to work.

Variety reports that Liv Tyler, Robin Williams, and Finding Neverland’s child star Freddie Highmore are in negotiations to headline August Rush. Based on the novel of the same name by Kirsten Sheridan, the film sounds rather uncomfortably like another Harry Potter clone. Described as a “fantasy love story” Liv would play Highmore’s mother in the story of a boy who loses his parents and takes some sort of magical music journey to find them. Robin Williams, will of course play a coked out loon… or a mysterious wizard. Probably the wizard.

Warner Brothers has the film slated to start shooting in New York this August, so look for them to lock the cast down pretty soon.
