It was announced last October that a strange partnership was being formed between Eli Roth, best known as a horror director and making films like Hostel, and RZA, best known as a member of Wu-Tang Clan with roles in movies like Funny People and American Gangster, to write a film titled The Man With The Iron Fist. With RZA set to star as a blacksmith in feudal China who creates kung-fu, it was already guaranteed to be a bizarre project. Believe it or not, it just got weirder.

E! recently spoke with RZA about the project at the MTV Video Music Awards and he revealed that, of all people, Russell Crowe will have a role in the film. While hesitant to give away any details, particularly any that dealt with the extent of Crowe's involvement, RZA was quoted saying, "I won't spoil it for you, but Russell's gonna be the baddest man alive. That man is in fighting shape. That man will knock you out."
