MOVIE NEWS
Zemeckis Debunked Some of the less reputable movie websites on the internet have been mumbling lately in an attempt to resurrect the old Robert Zemeckis to direct the Transformers movie. We didn’t hear of the rumor until now, or else since we are one of those less reputable movie websites, we’d have reported it.
Now there’s no point in reporting it, since the banner plagued folks over at IGN Filmforce have confirmed that the rumor is full of crap. Unless that’s just a rumor too. What is certain is that Transformers producer Don Murphy has confirmed they’re closing in on a writer and that the film is still on track for a release in Summer 2006, even though didn’t they say it was coming in Summer 2005? Perhaps that was just wishful thinking on my part. Either way, Spielberg and DreamWorks seem determined to make this more than just a cash in on the aged Transformers franchise, so expect whoever they hire to direct not to be Uwe Boll. ![]() Got questions? .
