First Trailer For Sofia Coppola's Somewhere

Back in 2006, riding high on the critical success of Lost in Translation, Sofia Coppola wrote and directed Marie Antoinette. Unlike its predecessor, the film wasn't greeted warmly (I blame the lack of Bill Murray) and the director somewhat faded into the background. Four years later, she's making her way back.

Right on the heels of the poster, Apple has released the first trailer for Somewhere, and other than being about a father reconnecting with his daughter, it's hard to get an exact read on what directions this movie will go. There's one exchange of dialogue, but for the most part the trailer is just soft rock played over scenes of the LA lifestyle and a dad playing around with his kid. It seems sweet, but we'll probably get a better sense of it on the next go-round.

Check out the trailer below or in HD over at Apple.
