Beyonce's Super Bowl Outfit Was Made From Iguanas, Does That Bother You?
There were more positive than negative reviews of Beyonce’s performance during the Super Bowl Halftime Show, but it turns out we can count animal rights group PETA among those who were less than pleased. The organization put out a statement today bashing the starlet for her fashion choices, specifically the python and iguana bodysuit she wore during the performance.
Here’s a portion of the organization’s angry statement, courtesy of The New York Daily News...
“We would take a bet that if Beyoncé watched our video exposés, she'd probably not want to be seen again in anything made of snakes, lizards, rabbits or other animals who died painfully. Today’s fashions are trending toward humane vegan options, and Beyoncé’s Super Bowl outfit missed the mark on that score.”
Such a public statement might convince some women to avoid such textiles in the future, but it would be a shock if Beyonce altered her behavior in the slightest based on the opinions of PETA. Not only is she a strong woman who makes her own choices, she was bashed last week by the organization for the gorgeous mink coat she wore to the Inauguration, and obviously, that didn’t stop her from busting out the iguana skin at the Super Bowl.
What do you think? Does it matter that Beyonce's outfit was made from iguanas and pythons or is it more important that she looked pretty damn good? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below...
