Farrah Abraham Pleads Not Guilty To DUI

Teen Mom Farrah Abraham has been in the headlines a lot lately thanks to her porno, but amidst all the craziness of that sexually forward choice, she’s been dealing with a legal matter too. Last month, she was pulled over on suspicion of driving under the influence. Police officers claim she blew a .147 and actually tried to walk away from the responding officers, but if Abraham herself is to be believed, the situation is far more complicated than that.

According to US Magazine, Abraham’s lawyer entered a plea of not guilty for his client while in court today. The reality star has openly admitted she was drunk, but she claims she simply pulled her car around a corner and parked it. Consequently, she doesn’t think the authorities had any reason to approach her vehicle, and she thinks the matter should be thrown out because of it.

Even if Abraham had never moved her car, she still technically could have driven under the influence because of Parked Car DUI statutes. Basically, if someone is behind the driver’s seat of a car and is drunk, courts will often infer that the person would have attempted to drive, were they not stopped by an officer. Since Abraham has admitted to Dr. Phil on national television she moved her car, however, she’s fighting even more of an uphill battle. Luckily, she now has plenty of money to throw legal fists in court.

We’ll keep you updated as the legal proceedings progress. Until then, just remember, she is innocent until proven guilty, whether she publically incriminates herself or not.
