Katherine Heigl Chooses A Name For Her Daughter
By Mack Rawden 4 years ago
Less than a month ago, Katherine Heigl and her husband Josh Kelley announced they were welcoming a new member of the family. The couple had previously adopted Naleigh from South Korea back in 2009, and the time seemed right to add on another child. They completed all the necessary paperwork and brought the new child home, but they made the decision not to publicly reveal any details about the kid. For all we knew, it could have been a sixteen-year-old boy or a newborn baby girl. Well, after weeks of growing accustomed to their larger family, Heigl and Kelley have finally decided to open up a little bit.
It turns out the adopted child is a baby girl. She was born here in the States, and according to US Weekly, she’s been officially christened Adalaide Marie Hope. Considering their name choice for first daughter Naleigh, it’s not surprising the couple would work past the more conventional choices, but I must admit I do like the way this flows off the tongue. Plus, it’s not like this pick is that strange, though it’s more commonly spelled with an e: Adelaide.
Pop Blend’s sincerest well-wishes go out to the happy family now sporting two daughters with lovely names. The months ahead will no doubt be a strain on both Josh and Katherine’s patience, but since they’ve been through it once before, there shouldn’t be too many surprises.
