Scare Tactics is a SciFi series with one major goal: to scare the crap out of people. The victims are set up by their friends and loved ones and put in staged scary situations that are arranged specifically to cater to the victim’s own personal fears. This season, Tracy Morgan joins the series as host.


Ok, initially the premise of this show sounded cruel to me. I haven’t seen any of the previous episodes but the idea of setting out to genuinely scare someone just seems kind of mean. Then again, I assume the friends and loved ones who are responsible for volunteering the victim probably wouldn’t do it if they didn’t think the person would have a sense of humor about it, right? Plus the preview clip (below) is pretty funny. Add that to Tracy Morgan’s simple style of humor (“Fear is funny.”)and I’m thinking this show could be worth a look.
