Episodes' Oliver Kieran-Jones Will Recur On Glee
Fox’s Glee is always up for adding new talent, and thus it’s unsurprising that the writers would add a new cast member at this stage in the season. Episodes’ Oliver Kieran-Jones has been added to the cast of Glee in a recurring role, adding depth to the character roster in the shows’ New York storylines.
We don’t know much about Kieran-Jones’ character, but we do know he will play the head of a glee club at NYADA, where Kurt attends school. Since we already know that glee clubs are up Kurt’s alley, it would be no surprise if the young college student would try to get involved somehow. In fact, Deadline is reporting that is exactly how the Glee writers plan to play this plotline out. We’ll have to wait and see if the young British actor makes friends with Kurt or becomes enemies, first, although I’m guessing the singing group thing will come together at some point in Season 4.
Other than taking on a small part as an office assistant in the BBC and Showtime’s comedy, Episodes, the young actor is relatively unknown in the United States. He has had stints on a few TV shows in the U.K., however, including guest stints in Foyle’s War, Midsomer Murders and Spooks: Code 9. Unlike a lot of Glee newcomers, he isn’t completely green on the professional acting front, and I can’t wait to see what Kieran-Jones brings to the table with his recurring gig.
Fox’s Glee airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET.
