If you’re caught up on Glee, then you know that the last new episode of the series focused heavily on Max Adler’s character Karofsky, as the once bully reacted to being bullied himself. While we hopefully haven’t seen the last of Adler’s character on Glee, we may also be seeing him on ABC next season.

TV Line reports that Adler is set to appear as a guest star in Shawn Ryan’s ABC pilot Last Resort, and he may (or may not) appear in later episodes, should the pilot go to series. The site doesn’t have any details on his character beyond that, but TV Line does say it “doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve seen the last of Karofsky.”

While Adler’s character has been featured numerous times over the course of Glee’s run, he’s actually only appeared in about a third of the series’ episodes, which might mean he has room in his schedule for other TV appearances that hopefully wouldn’t interrupt his commitment to Glee. We'll have to wait and see how things work out for the pilot (and what the Glee writers have planned for his character beyond this season).

Also joining the pilot in what might be a recurring role is Bruce Davison, who played Senator Kelly in the first two X-Men movies, and more recently appeared in Hawaii Five-0 and Drop Dead Diva.

Last Resort takes place at some point in the near future and follows the crew of a U.S. nuclear submarine that refuses to fire its missiles and takes shelter on an island where they declare themselves an independent nuclear nation. The pilot has already begun to build a solid looking cast, with Andre Braugher, Scott Speedman, Autumn Reeser, and Dichen Lachman all on board the drama pilot.
