This summer, Starz is set to premiere the eight-hour “event series” based on the bestselling novel “The Pillars of the Earth.” For those of you who want to put the names to the faces of the people who will be portraying some of the main characters, we have some photos to share with you.

Starz will premiere the eight-hour event series The Pillars of the Earth, based on Ken Follett’s global bestselling novel in July 2010. Kicking off with a two-hour premiere, the series is a sweeping epic of good and evil, treachery and intrigue, violence and beauty, a sensuous, spirited story set against a backdrop of war, religious strife and power struggles in 12th Century England.
