From India To The US, The Other End Of The Line Hits DVD
Look it’s John Tucker! Oops, I meant Jesse Metcalfe. Watch him play another much-too-perfect single guy when The Other End of the Line hits DVD March 31st courtesy of MGM Home Entertainment.
Priya (Shriya Saran) expresses her love of American culture by posing as an American woman while working at a call center in India. During a typical day at work, Priya must make a call to a man named Granger Woodruff (Metcalfe) to help him take care of fraudulent charges on his credit card. A phone call with a bank is the last place I’d imagine this to happen, but, sparks fly and the two agree to meet in San Francisco. Priya makes her way to the states, but her family, unhappy with her actions, is not far behind.
If completely improbable, cutesy romantic comedies are your thing, then The Other End of the Line may be for you. Metcalfe is officially pinned to these types of roles. Perhaps he could be a good choice for a horror film as well, but I don’t see any Oscars in his future. Even the film’s tagline screams cheesy: “Two Countries. Two Cultures. One chance at love.” For those of you who prefer these types of films or would just like to look at Metcalfe for a bit, you can buy The Other End of the Line on DVD for $27.98.
