Heartbreak Kid Hits DVD Before Year's End

It feels like just yesterday that we were participating in interviews with the Farrelly Brothers and Carlos Mencia as they promoted their movie The Heartbreak Kid, a remake of the 1972 Charles Grodin flick. Now two months after its release, we’ve gotten word about the movie’s pending DVD release, which is a lot closer than we imagined.

The movie follows Eddie (Ben Stiller), an indecisive man who finally settles down and gets married, only to find the woman of his dreams while on his honeymoon. The picture also features Jerry Stiller, Carlos Mencia, and Michelle Monaghan.

The Heartbreak Kid is coming to DVD and HD DVD on December 26th. The comedy, which reunites the Farrelly Brothers with leading man Stiller (There’s Something About Mary), looks like it’s getting a decent DVD treatment despite such a quick turn around time from theaters to stores. The fact that this isn’t an “unrated” release, however, makes me think a double-dip probably is in the works somewhere down the road, but for now this doesn’t look like a bad release. Take a look at the announced extras:
