I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention, but Bob Saget has been telling his kids how he met their mother for four years now. If I was one of those kids, I would have either asked for him to jump to the end of the story or beaten him to death with one of the Olsen twins by now.

Still, at least his rambling, inexplicably complicated anecdote is pretty damn funny. Featuring a great cast including Jason Segel (I Love You, Man), Alyson Hannigan (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Neil Patrick Harris (Neil Patrick Harris), Cobie Smulders (hot; Canadian; weird name), and Josh Radnor (uh…How I Met Your Mother), it’s the closest thing we have to an American version of Coupling. (No, the actual American version of Coupling most assuredly does not count.) When it’s bad it’s still funnier than any other network sit-com I can think of, and when it’s good -- as in this season’s episode “The Naked Man” -- it’s legen…wait for it…dary.
