November 1 just so happens to be next Tuesday and, since PlayStation Plus titles update the first Tuesday of the month, we've got six new additions to take a gander at before it's time to flip that calendar page.
In case you're new to the whole Plus thing, basically you plop down about sixty bucks a year to enjoy online gaming, cloud storage, a ridiculous number of special discounts and six downloadable games on a monthly basis. There are two games per Sony console, though sometimes the games work across multiple platforms as an added bonus.
Now we're ready to take a look at what games will be added to the rotating Instant Game Collection for the PlayStation family in November, spanning a wide range of genres and unique experiences. As a final reminder, with these November Plus games coming in hot next Tuesday, you've got until then to grab anything you wanted from the October lineup. After that, they're gone.
The Deadly Tower of Monsters
Letter Quest Remastered
This is certainly an interesting mix of Plus games we've got coming in November. Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is one of those "walking simulators" that invites players to explore a meticulously designed world in order to unravel the story and solve an overarching mystery. Just don't expect to whip out a gun and shoot a bunch of monsters along the way.
The Deadly Tower of Monsters, on the other hand, is a platforming twin-stick shooter that mixes just about every genre of Sci-Fi you can imagine into a single adventure that's fast, fun and frantic.
Over to the PlayStation 3 offerings and we start November off with Dirt 3. Do you like racing games? Do you like racing games that take place in...the dirt? Well, you're in luck, as that's exactly what you can expect out of Dirt 3. It'll be joined by Costume Quest 2 that, while a bit late to the Halloween party, should scratch that light RPG itch for people who haven't yet gotten their fill of trick-or-treating. Did we mention that the characters turn into super-powered versions of their costumes? Yeah, it's a pretty neat hook.
Finally, over to the Vita, Sony's portable console will be home to Letter Quest Remastered, the word-powered game that sees the Grim reaper and his pal, Rose, working through puzzles in order to trounce their enemies. That one will also be downloadable on the PS4, in case you're curious.
Speaking of cross-platform play, the second Vita game for the month, Pumped BMX+, is actually available on all three Sony consoles. A side-scrolling, physics-based racer, your job is to make it to the end of each level without crashing.
So, there you have it. Let us know what you think of this month's Plus lineup in the comments below.
