Check Out The First Two DLC Characters For Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite

With Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite launching a couple of weeks back, the ramp-up to the first couple of DLC characters has officially begun. Capcom recently launched a new trailer featuring gameplay for the upcoming combatants, including Black Panther and Sigma.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite turned out to be a solid fighter, even if the roster was a bit slimmer than fans have come to expect from the series. So it's good news that there will be six DLC characters rolled out in the coming months, beginning with the arrival of Black Panther, of Marvel fame, and Sigma from the Capcom side.
In the new trailer, we get to see this duo in action, and they look like pretty solid additions to the roster. Black Panther is reminiscent of Wolverine, who is noticeably lacking from Infinite's roster. He relies heavily on his claws and speed and seems to have some pretty great special moves.
Sigma is a pretty imposing character, towering over many of the game's combatants. He uses a cool plasma sword in several of his attacks, as well as a laser that shoots out of his eye.
For those of you following all of the latest Marvel happenings, you'll likely remember Black Panther from his rad-as-hell appearance in the latest Captain America film, as well as his upcoming solo outing at the box office. The protector of Wakanda appears pretty early on in the MvCI campaign, accompanied by a new friend from Monster Hunter. As for Sigma, he's the big bad in the Mega Man X universe, which you can now enjoy a sampling of on the SNES Classic Edition.
In the opening moments of the campaign, we learn that Sigma and Ultron figured out a way to cross dimensions and fuse. In doing so, they smashed their own worlds together, too.
During the Tokyo Game Show, Monster Hunter was shown off in her own gameplay video. Combined with this latest duo, the three DLC characters will arrive in MVCI on Oct. 17. Since the current DLC bundle is slated for 2017, we imagine Black Widow, Venom and Winter Soldier we arrive as a second trio sometime before the end of the year.
Obviously, that will leave the roster a bit lop-sided in favor of Marvel, which has led many to speculate that there will be even more DLC characters introduced to the game at some point. Since this first crop of six characters cost an additional $30, it seems like Infinite might become a rather hefty investment, if that's the case. We'll just have to wait and see what the future holds. For now, though, what are your thoughts on Black Panther and Sigma?
