Aliens: Colonial Marines might join the small group of first-person shooters that support PlayStation Move technology. During a Q&A with gamers, Gearbox Software hinted that Move might be incorporated into the final game.
"We are exploring options on alternative controls but we haven’t confirmed or announced anything yet," Gearbox's Adam Fletcher said in response to a question about Move. "I recommend following the Sega and Gearbox Twitter as we tend to update our fans immediately if we have any big news to reveal for our fans regarding A:CM."
Colonial Marines takes place in the aftermath of the film Aliens. Players take on the role of a Marines team sent to the colony world LV-426 to find Ellen Ripley and her military escort. They soon find an infestation of vicious aliens known as xenomorphs. In their effort to eradicate this threat, the Marines will travel to locations from the film including Hadley's Hope and the U.S.S. Sulaco.
Last week publisher Sega announced that Marines was being delayed to fall 2012. The game was previously slated for a spring release. Sega said at the time that they were not going to "sacrifice the creative process just for the sake of following a blue print." Perhaps Move support was one of the features that led to the delay?
Gearbox released a new teaser trailer for the game last Friday. Check it out here.
